Diotima is the third full-length from New York quartet Krallice, following their LP, Dimensional Bleedthrough. Krallice are a black metal band whose influences extend far beyond the realm of conventional black metal, likely due to Marston’s background in Behold.

Feb 10,  · Got copies of the glorious vinyl version of KRALLICE’s mightiest album to date, which was done by our friends at Gilead Media, is presented in super thick black heavyweight vinyl (the pressing was done in units, all in black with no special limited colours), with altered artwork (which kinda has that cool cell-shading vibe), and a fold out lyric sheet all housed in a super thick gatefold jacket .

Fortunately, Krallice have improved greatly on Diotima, toning down the convulsive songwriting for a more refined approach this time. Although each track has a distinct identity, as always is the case with this band, let’s just say the front end of the album isn’t too impressive.
